Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga are located in Nashik district of Maharashtra state of India. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is an ancient Hindu temple and is very revered among Hindus. In this temple, crowds of devotees can be seen in the months of Shivaratri and Shravan. The Kund (holy tank) named Kusavart, built by Srimanta Sardar Raoosaheb Parnerkar, is inside the temple complex. The main source of India’s longest river Godavari is near Trimbak. According to history, the present temple was built by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao (Nanasaheb).

This sacred Nasik Shiva Temple is situated between three hills (Brahmagiri, Nilgiri and Kalagiri). Situated in the temple there is a 92 feet tank called Amritvarshini. Three other waters, namely Bilvatirtha, Vishwanathatirtha and Mukundatirtha are also inside the temple complex. This holy Nasik Shiv Mandir also houses the shrines of many monasteries and saints, images of various deities like Gangadevi, Jaleshwar, Rameshwar, Gautameshwar, Kedarnath, Rama, Krishna, Parashurama and Lakshmi Narayana are seen inside the temple complex.

Trimbakeshwar Jyotirling is a Hindu religious site, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The extraordinary feature of the Jyotirlinga located here is its three faces which take the form of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra. This trained Shiva Linga is covered by a crown made of diamonds, emeralds and many precious stones.



All wishes are fulfilled by the philosophy of the Jyotirlinga, who is freed from sins. The Trimbakeshwar Shiva temple was revealed here by the penance of Gautam Rishi, Lord Shiva, he only darshan, freeing himself from all sins and sufferings, fulfills all desires by having a vision of Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga. It is the destroyer and emancipator of superpowers.
