Baba Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple Deoghar Philosophy History and Time Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple is a holy shrine located in Deoghar in the state of Jharkhand, India. According to mythological belief, Panchshul is considered as a protective shield. Two days before Mahashivratri, these Panchshuls are taken down and a day before Mahashivratri, all these Panchshuls are then installed back on the temple shikhar with rituals and rituals.

Regarding the Panchshul on the peak of Baba Baidyanath temple, it is believed that in the Treta Yuga, Panchshul was established as a protection shield at the entrance of Ravana’s Lanka Puri, only Ravana and Vibhishana knew how to penetrate this Panchshul i.e. protection shield. .

When Lord Rama invaded Lanka with his army, it was impossible for him to penetrate the Panchshul, but when Vibhishan revealed its secret, Lord Rama and his army entered Lanka by penetrating the security shield. It is believed that due to this Panchshul, no natural calamity has come on the temple till date.
