Dwarkadhish Temple Mathura, Timings, Darshan & History, Sri Dwarkadhish Temple is one of the most established and largest pilgrimage sites in the city of Mathura in the region of Uttar Pradesh, India. Known as one of the most sacred temples in Mathura, this temple is famous all over the country and the world for its elaborate architecture and paintings.
It is a distinct and popular Hindu travel destination, and its present structure was worked by Seth Gokul Das Parikh, treasurer of the Gwalior State (Scindia) in 1814 with support and heavy gifts from Srimanta Gulalrao Scindia of Gwalior.
It worked for the famous Hindu deity Dwarkadhish (meaning Lord or King of Dwarka, where Lord Krishna migrated from Mathura and settled for his life on earth).
The temple is about 3.5 km from the city’s primary railway station Mathura Junction. It is accessible to reach the temple from Mathura Junction. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the temple complex by auto rickshaw.
