Method of worship

The beginning of the day is done by the head priest bathing himself and preparing himself for worship, first of all, the Padukas of God is brought to the temple, daily worship is performed 6 times a day in the temple. The lingam is anointed with milk, ghee, rice, sandal ashes before each puja. After this, various kinds of food and sweets are offered to the deity and then a lamp is lit. The puja also includes a recitation of the Vedas and the Pancham Puranam.
